What do you feel is your main purpose as a reader?
As a reader I hope to provide the client with information that will help to enlighten, to assist in their decision-making process to possibly understanding things that have already passed with a newer perspective, and healing the way to move forward. I also hope to help the client utilize the information available from the past, present and future to maximize insights for their benefit.

How do you do your readings and what will I experience in one of your readings?
I use a variety of styles... but for the typical ones given at Sedona, it would commonly begin by asking the birthdate, and location and time of birth. Often the date and location are available, but sometimes not the time. It is helpful to have the time but not totally necessary for the mini-readings because a chart is not being drawn at this time. Using the data of a person's birth, the astrology of what is affecting the individual gives information to utilize in answering questions or forecasting future trends. Sometimes I use tarot cards, or if the client has brought in pictures, or personal items, I use those as well. The goal of the reading is to gain insights that will be helpful to the person.

What methods or tools do you use in your readings to access your intuition and information?

Using an ephemeris, which is a book containing the astrological data for every date in this century, the information is applied to the client in a more personalized manner. Astrology gives the energies; and time permitting, the tarot cards often fill in the details from a different perspective. If a picture is presented, the reading can be taken from this as well. Born a clairaudient, I also utilize the skills granted with this, as well as a developed clairvoyance. Occasionally, a health scan of the client or possibly a message from ones in spirit is given.

As a reader, what situations or areas do you most enjoy helping people with?
Assisting individuals with personal transformations gives me the greatest pleasure as well as the areas of personal relationships, which include romance, family, social, and professional.  Essentially, helping people to grow is the gift of healing I enjoy most.

What do you enjoy most about giving readings?
The ability to touch a person's psyche, to help them on a level that often borders on the profound still holds such fascinations for me.  I, too, am often amazed at the information that comes through! Often I learn right along with the client, and when they share information that gives confirmation of what we have discussed, it gives validation to the work we do.

Will you tell me "bad" things?
I don't like to emphasize the bad things, but if my guidance is to share something difficult with you, then I would do so only if I can offer supportive advice in how to prepare or deal with the situation. Often it is the very difficult things that a person would come to ask a reader about, so these things cannot be avoided altogether, but one must be sensitive as to how the information is presented.

Is my future set or can I change things?
Actually I believe in choice. That we co-create our lives as we live them. Granted we do come into this lifetime with issues to resolve, but even then I think if we make choices with conscious awareness, we can influence our lives greatly. Since we cannot control others, then we have choices as to how we deal with circumstances that may seem "set" or out of control. We always have choices!

How long have you been giving readings professionally?
Actually I have been doing readings for about 35 years now.

Who were your teachers and mentors that helped shaped the way you do readings?
I did most of my studies in the Greater Boston area. I was fortunate to have studied with some of the "greats" such as Dorothea Lynde, Frances Sakoian, Oscar Weber, Isabel Hickey to name a few, all of whom have passed on. Dorothea especially, taught with an emphasis on the spiritual effects of metaphysics. She also said that she had taught Rob Hand and Robert Pelletier, a grand dame of astrology!

How many years have you studied for your profession?
Studying for a metaphysical profession is a bit unconventional. Much of it is a combination of traditional teachings as well as non-traditional; many classes in counseling skills, humanities, communications as well as actually learning astronomy, astrology, tarot, and developing psychic skills all combine and stretch over a lifetime, and continue to be an ongoing study.

Tell me a little about some other interesting things that you do.
Computers are fast becoming a way life for me. I am on the net daily; writing a column for a cyberspace metaphysical newspaper. I also use the net to surf gathering information for a variety of purposes. I have done radio, TV, and am currently beginning the process of writing a book in addition to magazine articles. I have a large family and enjoy lots of ohana (Hawaiian word for family) activities here in the islands. Life is rich, full and rewarding!
